Child proof , Gujarat-style ,India

Sweets or dairy products that need to remain out of  the reach of sticky fingers of children were traditionally kept in  pots which were hoisted to the sloping ceiling of the room by a simple pulley , a device used for thousands of years . Mentioned even in the great Indian epic of Mahabarata, this device was used to try  to stop the child Krishna from raiding butter  stores by his mother Yashoda.
